Single sign-on is mechanism for allowing users to access multiple disparate resources with a single authentication process. Single sign-on provides users with much greater convenience, but requires diligence and skill to implement in a secure fashion.

Sxip (pronounced like 'Skip') is an open platform for digital identity that allows web applications to easily and safely add single sign-on functionality to new and existing sites (along with offering many other significant features, such as automated form fill-in and better privacy

This session will discuss the issues around single sign-on and will show how to implement single sign-on using the open source Sxip PHP Membersite Development Kit. The session will also briefly discuss some of the other aspects of Sxip, including its other features and the Sxip community.
