We're looking for a conscientious, energetic PHP developer to join a team working on an suite of Open Source applications being used at over a thousand sites worldwide. This is one of those rare opportunities to work on something meaningful -- not just another e-commerce website.
You'll be working on a wide variety of tasks, from helping with support to developing automated testing to hacking the code itself.
I'll be attending the Vancouver conference, so perhaps I could meet interesting parties for a few minutes there.
This is a contractor position, so you'll be working remotely. The position is part-time with potential for more.
PHP, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Linux sysadmin experience are necessary; experience with Smarty templates and ADODB would be nice too.
Why PHP MySQL ? We develop sites on PHP & MySQL database. The advantage of using PHP programming in your site is that PHP scripts can run in open source platforms like LINUX with the support of any WEB SERVER e.g open source APACHE HTTP server or WINDOWS IIS Server.
